CHANGE BEGINS WITH ME...Father, help me to be the CHANGE that you want to see on this earth
On my walk in the mornings I see several dirt trails that I can take. I tend to take the same path everyday. I'm a creature of habit. Change is hard for me. But, my husband said this morning, "Let's take a different road today." We did. The view was refreshingly different. We walked close to the creek and saw that the water from the creek had overflown the bank and was everywhere. This back water ran into the woods and probably, quickly changed everything around it. I'm sure it was a shock to the environment at first, but as God created it to do, it adjusted. I can just imagine how all the woodland animals, big and small, came rushing to this new place to get a drink of fresh, cold water.
Father, God, help me to yield to you in every area of my life; physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Help me to be yielding to the change that you want to make in me...my family, and possibly the world around me. A yielded vessel...to you. Today, if you ask me to take a different road, I pray that I will be willing. I know that this change will produce something beautiful, because that is who you are. And maybe, just maybe, this change, will cause the "banks" of my life to overflow with fresh water for others to drink from.
